In 2012, Destiny was given the opportunity to turn a career setback into a platform to create a network of resources to help other families avoid the pitfalls of unemployment. As a result, she was recruited by United Way of the Coastal Empire to develop and implement a career development program in Effingham County.
The CoNNECT (Community Network Navigation Empowerment Career Training) Program became the cornerstone of Ready2CONNECT, Inc., founded in 2016. As a result of Destiny’s passion for connecting families to community resources and helping individuals realize their God-given talents to obtain career success, Ready2CONNECT has empowered hundreds of program participants to achieve gainful employment and financial independence. And the ability and willingness to “give back” and become community partners!
Destiny received her M.Ed. in Middle Grades Education from Armstrong Atlantic State University. With over 15 years’ experience in the field of education, she has worked as an educator in both Chatham and Effingham counties.
A native of Savannah, Georgia, Destiny and her husband Craig, of 26 years, have three beautiful daughters; Savannah (husband, Adam), Alexandria and Dallas and have lived in Rincon, Georgia since November 2008. She enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, being outdoors, and being “MeeMa” to “Sugar Rae”; her 2 year old granddaughter, Amirah Rae’.
With over 12 years experience, Nancy operates her solo practice – the DeVetter Law Firm, which specializes in clearing criminal records.
